The Pavilion

So called as it was once A Cricket Pavilion, which has been purposely converted into a custom made conference and training centre.

“The Pavilion “is an ideal venue from which to facilitate training courses, such as team building events and in house Boot Camp life changing courses. The Pavilion is situated in the Hotel grounds overlooking our 15-acre field and the woodlands behind. There are plenty of outdoor activities available within a few miles radius for the extracurricular training opportunities. These include walking and cycling in the forest, climbing, canoeing, and rope tree climbing. The Pavilion has its own kitchen and toilet facilities and a large training room with three purposely designed syndicate rooms leading off from the main training room. During the winter months all meals can be taken in the Hotel Restaurant; however the balcony at the side of the pavilion is ideal for outdoor eating during the warmer months. New Owners at The Speech House Hotel

The Historic Speech House Hotel has been purchased by Peter & Gillian Hands.

They took over the hotel on the 15th March 2010.

Peter & Gill have a long proven 25 year history within the Hotel and Leisure Industry, and in the past have owned the Hyperion House Hotel in Fairford, The Bell Hotel in Tewkesbury and The Heritage Park Hotel in the South Wales Valleys.

We aim to carry out a rolling refurbishment programme in the hotel without changing its character, and to return the former King Charles II Hunting Lodge to its former glory. We want ensure that the Speech House once again becomes the premier hotel within the Royal Forest of Dean.

The hotel still retains the historical Verderers Court as its main restaurant, and has the new Orangery overlooking the gardens where bar lunches and afternoon teas and coffee are served.

We have a dedicated team of staff waiting to look after our guests added to which the stunning location in the centre of the Royal Forest makes it an ideal venue for both the commercial traveller and those of you simply seeking to get away from the hurley burley of everyday life.
