The Historic Speech House Hotel has been purchased by Peter & Gillian Hands.
They took over the hotel on the 15th March 2010.
Peter & Gill have a long proven 25 year history within the Hotel and Leisure Industry, and in the past have owned the Hyperion House Hotel in Fairford, The Bell Hotel in Tewkesbury and The Heritage Park Hotel in the South Wales Valleys.
We aim to carry out a rolling refurbishment programme in the hotel without changing its character, and to return the former King Charles II Hunting Lodge to its former glory. We want ensure that the Speech House once again becomes the premier hotel within the Royal Forest of Dean.
The hotel still retains the historical Verderers Court as its main restaurant, and has the new Orangery overlooking the gardens where bar lunches and afternoon teas and coffee are served.
We have a dedicated team of staff waiting to look after our guests added to which the stunning location in the centre of the Royal Forest makes it an ideal venue for both the commercial traveller and those of you simply seeking to get away from the hurley burley of everyday life.
